People often come to us looking for a treatment that creates smooth, poreless-looking skin. An AquaGold treatment is a great option. AquaGold treatment’s benefits are similar to those of microneedling and baby BOTOX®.
We hope this article helps you understand the benefits of AquaGold treatment and what makes the treatment different.
What is AquaGold Fine Touch?
AquaGold is a specialized microinjection treatment that uses fine 24-carat gold microinjectors to deliver serums and treatments to the top layer of the skin. Besides, the gold injectors are thinner than a strand of fine-textured human hair. The special injector tool delivers 2,4000 microinjections per minute, according to the brand’s website.
The fine, thin microinjectors offer some of the benefits of microneedling, but most people find it less uncomfortable. Depending on the treatment or serum used, AquaGold may be used to treat skin anywhere on the body. AquaGold’s gold injectors are hypoallergenic. Be sure to discuss any known allergies with your cosmetic treatment professional.
Injecting the product into the top layer of the skin is typically more effective than topical application. Furthermore, the product will not need to penetrate the protective outer layer of the skin.
What Kind of Treatments Are Delivered Through AquaGold?
AquaGold may be used to administer treatments that may help with:
- Reducing the appearance of acne and other scars
- Help improve skin elasticity lost with age and sun damage
- Improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Help restore lost face volume
The results are usually more subtle than other injectables like BOTOX® and filler injections. However, sometimes subtle is all you need.
Our providers often create custom skin cocktails consisting of platelet-rich plasma, muscle relaxants like BOTOX®, retinol, peptides, dermal fillers, stem cells, and potent antioxidants directly into the skin using AquaGold Fine Touch. Our providers often create custom skin
Benefits of AquaGold Fine Touch
Throughout this article, we alluded to some of the benefits of AquaGold treatment. The specific benefits vary depending on the treatment administered using AquaGold.
In general, the benefits include:
- Because the product is injected into the top layer, it doesn’t need to get past the skin barrier, and you can absorb it better
- Since the microinjectors are so fine, the treatment is less painful than microneedling. Some mistakenly refer to AquaGold as microneedling. We understand why since it is similar, but instead, they use smaller microinjectors. Some people who fear needles are okay with AquaGold
- Aquagold is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure that results in no downtime
- The 24-carat gold microinjectors are hypoallergenic and non-irritating
- Since recovery time is minimal, you can layer AquaGold treatments depending on your needs. Most people may experience a little tenderness and redness for a few days, sometimes less
- Some non-surgical cosmetic treatments require a topical or local anesthetic for patient comfort, which isn’t the case with AquaGold
One popular treatment AquaGold administers is Platelet-rich plasma (PRP). During this treatment, your provider processes and injects your own blood platelets into your skin to promote healing and rejuvenation. Benefits include improved skin tone, collagen production, smooth fine lines, diminished wrinkles, and antioxidant protection. The exact results vary by person, depending on how you react, but this treatment is highly sought-after since it boosts your body’s natural healing and restoration process.
Some use AquaGold to inject BOTOX® or other ingredients that relax targeted muscles like Dysport. The result isn’t as potent as traditional BOTOX® injections. BOTOX® and Dysport are typically injected into targeted areas to relax the muscles associated with expression lines.
AquaGold microinjections are closer to the surface resulting in relaxed, smaller-looking pores and reduced redness. In addition, it gently and subtly smooths the skin. Many find it gives their skin a smooth, polished look. Sometimes this is referred to as “baby BOTOX®” or an AquaGold facial.
Hyaluronic acid is another injectable product often administered with AquaGold. However, it can be administered by itself and sometimes combined with another ingredient like microdoses of BOTOX®. The microinjections of hyaluronic acid smooth and subtly plump the skin. The substance naturally occurs in the skin, but with age, production diminishes. This is one reason youthful skin has a fuller, more plumped look.
It’s important to note the results from AquaGold Fine Touch are not equivalent to traditional needle injections of fillers like hyaluronic acid or muscle relaxants like BOTOX®. The results are milder and more subtle and often meet different aesthetic goals.
